How to Join SFYD Membership?
Becoming a member means your voice will be heard as we make the decisions central to our party and our club in the coming weeks, months and years. Members also enjoy discounted tickets to all our special events and priority access to our educational and organizing opportunities.

To be a member in good standing, the member must be current in their membership dues and must have attended at least three (3) general membership meetings within the twelve (12) months preceding any vote, as well as the meeting at which a vote of the Members will occur.

Who Can Join SFYD Membership?
** Eligible members are persons who are at least fourteen (14) years of age but not more than thirty-five (35) years of age, are registered Democrats or who intend to register as Democrats when eligible.
** Such persons must also live in, be employed, or attend school in the City and County of San Francisco, and be a member in good standing
** Citizenship or being registered to vote is not requirement to join (although we do recommend registering to vote if you are able)!

STUDENT MEMBERSHIP (Ages 14-35): $15 Annual Membership
GENERAL MEMBERSHIP (Ages 14-35): $35 Annual Membership
ALUMNI/SUSTAINER MEMBERSHIP (Ages 36+): $25 Annual Membership

The San Francisco Young Democrats is one of the largest and most influential Democratic clubs in California. We have a powerful voice within the Democratic Party, California, and San Francisco and strive to make real progress on issues and leaders that elevate young people.

There many ways we create real impact locally on a wide variety of topics including housing, immigration, criminal justice, climate change, education, and more. We give you the tools and platform to make a critical impact as a young leader in our community.

We host a wide range of workshops and leadership training events to teach you how to get more involved in local politics. We also host events where you can connect with local elected officials, learn from policy experts, snag an internship, and even meet your future mentor!

You can get involved in policy advocacy, campaign mobilizations, voter registration drives, local actions, and much more. We are already gearing up for the 2022 elections and would love for you to join us!
