Apostille Information

As of (April 1, 2016) the cost of an Apostille will be $55.00 per document. Payment can be made at the Accountant General’s cashier’s desk in the Government Administration Building. They accept all forms of payment (credit/debit cards, cheques, and cash).

Cheques only are accepted at the Parliamentary Registry’s Office. All documents coming from overseas via courier service and which require authentication must be prepaid in order to be returned to the sender. All cheques must be made out to the Accountant General.

Advanced Polling Information

Voters who will be travelling on or before polling day and incapacitated voters are eligible to vote in the advanced polls on either the 11th, 12th, or 13th of July at the Seventh-day Adventist church on King Street in the city of Hamilton. Polling station hours for advanced polls are 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Travellers

Advanced polling certificates for Travellers will be issued at the Parliamentary Registry starting from July 5th through July 13th. The office will have extended hours on the 11th, 12th and 13th, from 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. to issues certificates and voters cards.

Required Documentation

** E-ticket Receipt / confirmed airline ticket itinerary showing the dates of travel
** Identification –accepted forms are; driver’s license , passport issued by commonwealth country, special persons card, or voters card

Incapacitated Voters :
Incapacitated voters will need to present themselves to the Chief Medical Officer at the Hamilton Health Center on Victoria Street in the City of Hamilton.

This includes those with physical disability needing assistance with voting as well as seniors who may need additional time and assistance to vote. Any voter who is scheduled for any medical procedure that will prevent them from being able to travel to the polling station on polling day may also apply to vote in advance.

Certificates will be issued from July 5th through the 13th between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. and again from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Voters should call ahead for an appointment on 278-6460 to decrease waiting times at the clinic.

Required documentation :
** Identification –accepted forms are; driver’s license , passport issued by commonwealth country, special persons card, or voters card

** If the voter has a scheduled medical procedure a letter from his doctor stating that he is unable to travel to the polls on polling day i.e. prescheduled C-section or surgical procedure
