About the Program :
The Honor Vote program lets Tennesseans dedicate their vote to those who are serving or have served our country. The men and women of the U.S. military ensure our freedom and democracy, allowing us to cast a ballot each Election Day.
How it Works :
** Dedicate your vote to a U.S. veteran or active duty military member at GoVoteTN.com/honor
** Share your dedication on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram using #GoVoteTN
** Receive a packet in the mail with an Honor Vote button and Voter Information Guide
** Wear the button and vote on Election Day in honor of the veteran or service member you choose
Frequently Asked Questions:
Question: How will people know who I’m dedicating my vote to?
Answer: There are two main ways to let people know about the service member you are honoring. The first is social media. After you register, post it to Twitter, Facebook and Instagram using #GoVoteTN. Second, wear your Honor Vote button on Election Day. You will be surprised how many people notice and ask what it represents.
Question: Am I allowed to wear my Honor Vote button when I vote?
Answer: Yes. Your Honor Vote button may be worn through the entire voting process.
Question: Does this mean I get to vote twice?
Answer: Tennesseans are only allowed to vote once. The Honor Vote program simply allows a voter to dedicate their single vote to any veteran or active duty U.S. service member they choose.
