Who Can Register?
To register in New Jersey, you must be:
** a United States citizen
** 18 years of age by the next election
** a resident of the county for 30 days prior to the election
You are not eligible to register to vote if you are serving a sentence or on parole or probation, as a result of a conviction of an indictable offense under state or federal law and have been judged mentally incompetent.
How Can I Register To Vote?
Applications for registration can be downloaded online by clicking here, or obtained from the Division of Elections, the Commissioners of Registration office in Burlington County, or in person at the Township Clerk’s office at the Municipal Building. A Spanish version is available here.
Registration forms are also available in various State agencies and at Division of Motor Vehicle offices and can be obtained while transacting agency business.

Voter registrations are maintained by the County Commissioner of Registration. You may register in person at that office, use the above referenced form, register at your municipal clerk’s office, or at any one of the following state offices:
** Division of Elections
** Division of Motor Vehicles
** Division of Worker’s Compensation
** Division of Employment Services
** Division of Unemployment and Temporary Disability
In addition, this form can be used for name and address changes. The County Clerk cannot accept faxed copies or an electronic transmission of a voter registration since an original signature is required.
Registration deadline is 21 days prior to election day.
