ECSA Check & Update Your Enrolment

The Australian Electoral Commission maintains the electoral roll for South Australia.

Visit the Australian Electoral Commission website and use their check my enrolment feature. The site allows you to confirm your enrolment by entering your name and address.

You can change your name or change your address online through the Australian Electoral Commission’s online enrolment feature :
** Change your name
** Change your address
Or you can download an enrol to vote or update your details form for South Australia.

If you do not want to change your details online, get an enrol to vote or update your details form :
** From an Australian Electoral Commission office.
** At any Australia Post Outlet.
** At the Electoral Commission SA office located at Level 6/60 Light Square, Adelaide.
** By calling us on 1300 655 232 to request a form be sent to you.

You can call the Australian Electoral Commission on 13 23 26 if you have any further questions. You cannot change your enrolment details over the phone.

To view the South Australian electoral roll, you can visit the Electoral Commission SA office located at Level 6/60 Light Square Adelaide. Our business hours are 9.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday.

Enrol For Council Elections

If you are already on the State electoral roll (in your council area) and vote in State elections, you are automatically included on the council voters roll and will receive ballot papers through the post. See the enrol for State elections page for instructions if you need to enrol for the first time.

If you are 16 or 17 years of age and enrolled as a provisional voter on the State electoral roll and turn 18 years on or by close of voting, you are entitled to vote and will also receive ballot papers.

See the check and update your enrolment page if you have :
** moved house, or
** changed postal address, or
** changed your name.

State Electoral Roll

The State electoral roll contains the names and addresses of all South Australians who are currently enrolled, and is used for State and council elections. The State electoral roll does not contain any email addresses or telephone numbers.

The Australian Electoral Commission maintains the electoral roll for South Australia. Enrolment for State elections is compulsory in South Australia.

You must enrol on the State electoral roll if you are :
** 18 years and over,
** an Australian citizen, or eligible British subject, and
** have lived at your address for at least one month. If you are 16 or 17 you can enrol now so when you turn 18 you will be able to vote.
