How can I get access to the Electoral Register?
The Electoral Register can be viewed at the Office of the Electoral Commissioner, Aarti Chambers Room 203, Mont Fleuri or at the Archives at the National Library Building, Victoria.
Is the Electoral Register accessible on the Internet?
The Electoral Register can be accessed as an e-service on the internet at the following address ecs.sc, by typing in your National Identity Number. or via our m-service by texting your NIN to 9600
How often is the Electoral Register updated?
The Electoral Register is updated once a year
In case of change my name or residence how and when will the Register be amended?
Any change of name or transfer is done in January of each year during the Voters Registration Exercise, by calling in person at the registration centre in your Electoral Area of your residence to effect such changes.
In case of a change in particulars, can a family member makes the change ones behalf?
All changes in the particulars of voter should be made in person.
Can I apply for my name to be removed from the Electoral Register?
An application to remove ones name from the Register can only be made if one ceases to be a permanent resident in any Electoral Area in the country or upon production of a certificate issued by a court in Seychelles to the effect the person is of unsound mind or suffering from mental illness.
Where should I go to make a complaint with regard to the Voters Register?
To enter a complaint one should go to the registration centre in the Electoral Area of residence or the Office of the Electoral Commissioner to register the complaint in writing/by filling the appropriate form provided to that effect.
As a returning resident, when can I register as voter?
As a returning resident one should go to the registration centre in the Electoral Area of residence when the Voters Registration Exercise is being carried out.
In case of a relative whose is on the Register dies abroad, how can that person be removed from the Register?
In such case one has to go to the registration centre in the Electoral Area or the Office of the Electoral Commissioner, bringing along the Death Certificate of that person and complete the appropriate form provided to that effect.
Being a citizen residing overseas and my name appears on the register, will I be allowed to vote in an election if I am in the country at that time?
Despite being an overseas resident, any person who at the time of an election the said person is present in the country and his/her name appears in the Register of Voters, the said person can vote.
